Hui Ge, a long-time employee at a restaurant, is known for his “Chow Geng” (slacking off) tactics. Despite his long tenure, he remains stagnant in his career due to his unreliability and inflated ego. At home, he faces constant bickering with his wife and neglect from his family.

When his boss gives a raise to a foreign worker but not to him, Hui Ge’s resentment boils over. He decides to confront his boss, which leads to a demotion to a security guard post. Feeling betrayed, he skips work with friends, only to be fired when his boss discovers his absence.

Hui Ge hires an AI robot to help manage his restaurant and home life, but the robot’s advice and actions ultimately lead him to confront his own shortcomings and seek redemption. Through a series of events, including a bitter rivalry with a former colleague and a family crisis, Hui Ge learns valuable lessons about the importance of hard work, honesty, and forgiveness. He eventually reconciles with his business partner and wife, and his restaurant continues to thrive.
